Abstract

ABSTRACTWe report the structural, microwave dielectric properties of (1-x)MgTiO3(MTO) – xBa5Nb4O15 (BNO) (where x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 wt.%) prepared by solid state reaction method. The effect of sintering temperature on structural, microstructural and dielectric properties of (1-x)MTO – xBNO for x = 0.1 has been studied systematically. The best dielectric properties were observed for (1-x)MTO – xBNO at x = 0.1, with the dielectric constant (ϵr) ∼20, loss tangent (tanδ) ∼ 10−4, and quality factor (Q × fo) = 60,230 GHz at 8.25 GHz with τf ∼ −5 ppm/°C. The obtained properties of this material makes promising for dielectric resonator and antenna applications.
