Abstract
The article discusses the autobiographical volume by Henryk Dasko – a writer, journalist and well-known activist among the Polish émigrés in Canada. The book, although it was produced in tragic circumstances of Dasko’s strugglle with terminal illness, describes his childhood in communist Poland, forced emigration in 1968 and the years spent later on in Canada.
