Abstract
A theoretical approach was developed to explain the abnormally broad shape bands of ν(XH) stretching vibrations. It was shown that taking into account anharmonic effects such as strong interaction ν(XH) stretching vibrations with the lattice phonons and the Fermi resonance and added to them the Davydov splitting effect in the crystal with a complex structure of the unit cell allows us to describe the principal features of the shape band of high frequency crystal vibrations. We apply the obtained theoretical results for reconstruction of IR spectra of potassium hydrogen maleate (KHM) and adipic acid crystals.
