Abstract
AA8014 aluminium sheets were tested in uniaxial, equi-biaxial and plane-strain tension at an almost constant strain rate of 2×10−3 s−1. Attention was focused on two main industrial conditions of the material, these being representative of the materials that could be processed by the commercial batch-annealing process (slow heating, long time) or by a continuous annealing process (fast heating, short time). The influence of the stress-state on the work-hardening behavior of the material and a comparison of work-hardening parameters under different deformation modes are discussed. The rate of work-hardening was studied for both conditions of the material under different stress-states.
