Abstract

Human personality is a dynamic organization inside an individual. Personality is the formation of the self is also a result of adaptation to its environment. Personalities who have influence with the job stress is type A personality that is described always put themselves under the steady pressure of time, always oriented to the job, doing the task as much as possible in the short term. The role is a part should be accomplished by an individual in helping the group to achieve its goals, the role is played by individual is a source of stress, especially if there's case of obscurity role (role ambiguity), the conflict in the role (role conflict) or the role of excess weight and too little (role overload-under load). This study aims to analyze the concept of Type A Personality and the Role toward job stress. It's expected to be able provide input on Government Reform in the District Tulung Agung's Inspector Office in determining policy. The sample in this research is in the Office of Government Apparatus Inspectorate Tulungagung District is 102 respondents. The analysis technique that's used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), and the measurement model is Confirmatory Factor Analysis [CFA]. By using AMOS 4.01 the test results show that Type A personality factor has a positive significant toward job stress factors, and role factors influential a positive significant toward job Stress Factor.
