Abstract
<p>In the pavement structure, stresses and deformations occur due to the effect of the environment and traffic load. The stresses that will occur mostly depend on the traffic load, the type of materials used, the modulus of elasticity of the materials used, the thickness of the layers... Due to the effect of the environment and traffic on the pavement, damage and the creation of permanent deformations, i.e. ruts, occur. If these damages are not repaired in time, the damage will develop even faster. In this paper, the traffic load on the road Požarevac - Veliko Gradište - Golubac was analyzed, the possible damage that may occur due to the effect of that load, as well as the method of maintaining that roadway in order to prevent major damage to the roadway structure.</p>
