Abstract
The plastic behavior of soils in a complex state is modeled. The concept of a slip platform as a platform of the “actual” slip of physical particles of a dilating granulated medium is introduced. Formulas are presented for determination of the orientation of the slip platform during arbitrary (“disassociated”) dilatancy. The limiting-yield condition of a free-flowing continuum is proposed. A rule defining the plastic-strain rate is formulated.
