Abstract
Methods of determining the strength and deformability of soils under creep during triaxial compression are examined. A kinematic method of determining the strength and deformability of soils with a consistency ranging from fluid to hard in accordance with an unconsolidated-undrained scheme is proposed for such soils. It is demonstrated that the results of the experimental investigations can be represented by a generalized Kelvin-Voight and Shvedov-Bingham model — nonlinearly elastoviscous deformation of soils in the unconsolidated state.
