Abstract

Systems emerge, grow and evolve. Triple helix relations are not immune to such conditions. We theoretically review three hypothesis that we believe play a major role in the strategic decision making of individual agents within innovation networks. Using simple mathematical deductions, we show that cluster tendencies in conjunction with knowledge levels vis-í -vis projected benefits influence the partnership formation. Using Games Theory, we further show the possible adopting strategies that agents may activate to maximize benefits.
