Abstract
This study investigates the strategic response of Durban's healthcare industry to the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the development of innovative strategies that could provide a competitive advantage. Through a robust mixed-methods approach combining literature review and empirical analysis, the research identifies key adaptive strategies employed by healthcare organisations, such as strategic partnerships, digital transformation, and supply chain resilience. The findings reveal the critical role of agile strategic planning in navigating the unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic, contributing to the body of knowledge by demonstrating the practical application of strategic management theories in crisis conditions.
