Abstract
The article substantiates the essence of strategic planning as an organizational andlegal element of management activity in the system of social and humanitarian security provision in Ukraine. Based on the analysis of legislative and strategic documents, the legal principles of strategic planning in the field of social and humanitarian security provision as a component of the national security of Ukraine were researched. The main problems and contradictions of approaches to strategic planning in the national public and management practice were revealed. The ways for improvement of strategic planning in the system of social and humanitarian security in Ukraine are offered.
