Abstract

SWOT analysis is an established strategic planning methodology to identify the organizations' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats before proceeding to the formulation of corporate strategy. The quantifiable SWOT method adopts the concept of Multiple-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), which uses a multi-hierarchyscheme to simplify complicated problems. The indices of SWOT will be voted and weighted to assess the competitive strategy meanwhile the total weighted scores methodwill be used to achieve the best strategy alternatives. The competitive strategies of Shih Chien University Kaohsiung Campus in Taiwan are taken as a case study in this particular paper. We propose a new quantifiable SWOT analytic method incorporated with the vote-ranking method, which uses the two stages six steps to assess thecompetitive strategies and followed by suggestion on an adoptable policy
