Abstract

The influence of the organo-aluminium component and activator on the activity and stereospecificity of catalysts based on WCl 6 during polymerization of cylo-octene has been studied. The optimal ratios have been found for the catalyst components at which the maximum rate of polymerization is achieved and data are presented on the influence of the composition of the catalyst and conditions of the reaction on the microstructure of the polyoctenamers formed.
