Abstract
Steroid injection is still one of the most effective methods of treating keloid scars. Clinicians find this procedure most challenging due to the hard consistency of the collagen in the keloid. Different ways and techniques have been described and are being used at present each having its own advantages and disadvantages. In this article, we will be describing a step-by-step guide of how to use the dental cartridges for injecting steroids to keloid scars intra-lesionally. After going through this article, the clinicians will find this technique very easy to use in their day-to-day practice.
