Abstract
Acute pancreatitis is one of the most life-threatening urgent surgical diseases. Endogenous intoxication is the main pathogenetic factor causing multiple organ failure in severe acute pancreatitis, which attaches particular importance to the search for new methods of its correction. The presented analysis of the literature data indicates that the development of effective methods of cell transplantation is currently in the focus of experimental research. The use of mesenchymal stromal cells in inflammatory processes is a new direction of regenerative medicine. Therapy of acute pancreatitis, based on the use of mesenchymal stromal cells of various origins, shows a convincing anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effect in the experiment.
