Abstract

Intelligence describes the ability or cognitive performance to find one’s way in new situations and to solve tasks by thinking. Traditionally these abilities were exclusively attributed to humans. The development of artificial intelligence has made it possible to make complex tasks solvable by computers. Diagnostic imaging techniques are ideally suited for automated analysis by artificial intelligence, in particular using neural networks. This article provides an overview of the current state of development and which technologies are already being used in prenatal diagnosis.
