Hall Harrison, Marjorie Abstract Stellar models, consisting of isothermal cores and point-source envelopes, are considered, in which the ratio of the mean molecular weight in the core to the mean molecular weight in the envelope varies from 1 to 2. It is found that the upper and lower limit of the mass and radius of the core is a decreasing func- tion of j~/j~. The evolution of main-sequence stars consequent to the burning of hydrogen in the central regions is also examined Publication: The Astrophysical Journal Pub Date: March 1947 DOI: 10.1086/144906 Bibcode: 1947ApJ...105..322H full text sources ADS |
