Abstract In the second half of 2023, Steinbeck activities included an auction of the author’s manuscripts and correspondence from the family of his youngest sister; the conclusion of preservation efforts for the Western Flyer; the official opening of the Steinbeck House in Sag Harbor; the launch of the Steinbeck Writers’ Retreat; and new adaptations of The Grapes of Wrath.
