Abstract

Directors of general education schools are elected in order to perfect and deepen the democratic foundations of the Soviet school system, to create an atmosphere of mutual exactingness, and to involve teaching and student collectives and the public more widely in dealing with the tasks of radically improving the preparation of the rising generation for life and labor.
