Abstract

Objective To investigate the home care status and nursing needs of community hypertensive in Chaoyang district Beijing city, so as to provide scientific evidences for home preventing control and health management of hypertensive. Methods A total of 1 060 cases of hypertensive from 6 communities in Chaoyang district Beijing city from March 2016 to August 2017 were selected using convenient sampling and surveyed with questionnaires, including general information questionnaire, home self-care questionnaire, medication compliance questionnaire, and home nursing needs questionnaire. SPSS 20.0 software was used to analyze the current self-care situation, medication compliance and home nursing needs of hypertensive. Results Of 1 060 questionnaires, 1 014 questionnaires were retrieved with a rate of 95.66%. Among the community hypertensive, 52.2% of them self-monitored blood pressure, and 46.1% of them used the salt restriction spoon. The scores of medication compliance were low in two respects: medication time (3.51±0.68) and medication frequency (3.52±0.68) . The main demands for nursing model of community hypertensive were community (55.6%) and hospital (51.1%) ; while the demands for lifestyle guidance were mainly medication guide (84.8%) and diet guide (76.7%) . Conclusions The self-management level and medication compliance of community hypertensive require the improvement. Patients' needs for community nursing is high. The guidance of hypertension preventing and nursing should be promoted from hospital to community, so as to meet patients' needs. Key words: Hypertension; Home; Self-care; Nursing needs
