Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on chronotherapeutics on blood pressure and medication compliance of patients with hypertension .Methods One hundred and twenty-six patients with hypertension in outpatient from August 2012 to February 2013 were chosen and divided into the control group ( n=60) and the intervention group ( n=66) according to the random number table .The control group received the routine health education , and the intervention group received the nursing intervention based on chronotherapeutics .The blood pressure and medication compliance were compared between two groups . Results No differences were found in the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) between two group before intervention (P>0.05).After intervention, the SBP was (134.3 ±5.54) mmHg in the intervention group, and was (143.4 ±7.93)mmHg in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=-3.596,P〈0.01); the DBP was (84.8 ±3.81) mmHg in the intervention group, and was (90.7 ±5.07)mmHg in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=-3.622,P〈0.01).After intervention, the score of medication compliance was (2.8 ±0.81) in the intervention group, and was (2.0 ±0.77) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=5.267,P〈0.05). Conclusions The nursing intervention based on chronotherapeutics can effectively control the blood pressure , and improve the medication compliance of patients with hypertension , and it should be recommended to other hypertension patients .
