Abstract

Recently, an attempt to evaluate substantially the situation for Z = 63 to 83 nuclei by the combination of the experimental and the theoretical ( n, 4 n) reaction cross-section values in the energy range from 26 to 30 MeV, the cross-sections dependence on the neutron excess (N–Z) and ( En + Qn) (where N and Z are target nucleus neutron and proton numbers; En and Qn are the incident neutron energy and ( n, 4 n) reaction energy, respectively) has been investigated. This approach in this field is formulated. It is seen that the empirical formulae gives good fits with the experimental values.
