Abstract

Looking back on a decade of track research in Amritsar we report on (i) inter calibration of track recorders, (ii) annealing studies in SSNTDs, (iii) single activation energy model, and (iv) Radon field studies in the context of (a) uranium exploration, (b) assessment of its associated pollution, and (c) earthquake prediction. The developed techniques are inexpensive, provide a good basis for promotion of science teaching and research in developing countries, and — with a little foresight and proper planning — enable the generation of reliable scientific data.
