Abstract

By C. C. Lin London: Oxford University Press. Pp. 60. Price 11s. 6d. The four books under review are Nos. 7–10 of the Princeton Aeronautical Paperbacks which, it may be permissible to re-state for those unfamiliar with the series, are direct-reproduction reprints of self-contained articles which have previously appeared in the expensive twelve volumes of the Princeton Series on High Speed Aerodynamics and Jet Propulsion. A year ago when reviewing Nos. 3–6 of the paperbacks I gave a warm welcome to the idea of making available, in relatively inexpensive form, appropriate articles from the original volumes and pressed on the editors the hope that more would follow despite their expressed intention of keeping the new series highly selective.
