Abstract

Hoareseness and indirect laryngoscopic findings in school-children have been studied continuously during four years, on about 300 subjects scince they were 5th year class of primary school. Conclusions are as follows:1) Hoarseness decreases accoding as age, from 22.8% to 6.3%.2) Pathological changes found in hoarse children also diminish with age, but slowly than hoarseness.3) The causes of hoarseness in school-children are discussed, which probably are due to abuse and misuse of voice, in addition to a sort of physiological property, that is a habinger of untation.
