Abstract

Background: The modality of peritoneal chemotherapy seeks to explore pharmacokinetic properties not possible with the use of systemic chemotherapy. PIPAC, in particular, seeks to better explore both the distribution and depth of penetration of therapeutic agents into the peritoneal space. This poster intent is to describe the physical properties of a new modality of aerosolization of a therapeutic substance directly into the peritoneal space using ultrasonic energy mechanism.
