Abstract

In this paper, a hybrid stochastic vegetation–water model perturbed by white and colored noises is studied. First, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of stationary distribution of the model, which reflects the long-term persistence of vegetation. Then some sufficient conditions for the exponential extinction of vegetation are established. Finally, some numerical simulations are provided to verify our theoretical results.
