Abstract

Shell model configurations which realize a total or partial static spinisospin order in nuclei are analysed at several densities and deformations using the one-pion exchange potential. It is shown that, at least in not too light nuclei, partially ordered configurations become lowest in energy at considerable lower density than the totally ordered ones. The relevance of this result in view of the formation of a spinisospin phase in ion collision is emphasized.
