Abstract

A study of the worst case of circuit performance of a single tunnel diode bi-stable trigger has been made with reference to the input characteristics and storage current, taking into account the tolerance in the device parameters and circuit components. A procedure for obtaining the optimum load and bias supply voltage has been outlined. It has been shown that the scattering in the various parameters puts certain limitations on the design and performance of such circuits and that a critical selection of operating conditions and components i8 necessary for reliable operation.
