The article provides an overview of the current state of development of the global e-commerce market, as well as an analysis of the Russian online sales market. Statistical data on the dynamics of international and Russian online sales are presented. The factors contributing to the development of the global e-commerce market, as well as factors slowing down the growth rate of this market in our country, are listed. The most popular marketplaces in Russia are listed and quantitative estimates of transactions made on them are indicated. In addition, further prospects for the development of the Russian e-commerce market are highlighted.
