Abstract
The broadening of 5s-5p and 5p-5d Kr II lines were measured using a high current pinched discharge. Electron density and temperature were estimated to 1.45 × 104K and 2.65 × 1022m−3, respectively. Stark broadening for forty (40) lines were obtained, including thirty three (33) not previously reported. The results are compared with data from the homologous ions Ne II, Ar II and Xe II and systematic trends for ns-np and np-nd transitions are examined.
