Abstract

The collapse of the structural component of a building can cause physical and material losses, both to the building management and the building’s occupants. This can happen due to the absence of a standard operating procedure that is appropriate to the government’s regulation regarding the maintenance and care for structural components. In the current condition, the government’s building as the center of public services does not have a proper standard operating procedure regarding the maintenance and care for structural components. The aim of this research is to develop a procedure regarding the maintenance and care of a building’s structure based on risk. Risk in this context is defined as the risk that influences the duration of each work activity. The methods used in this research are archive analysis, survey, and case study. The result of this research is a standard operating procedure for maintenance works and care for structural components of a building based on risk. This can be utilized to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the work process.
