Abstract
In the design of the stage sound-reflectors in Hangzhou Theatre, the following considerations are incorporated. Consideration Incorporated in the design of the stage sound reflectors 1. (1) Separate reflectors, using the very large stagehouse as a coupled space to keep the reverberation time as long as possible. 2. (2) Arranging the reflectors so that the time delays of the reflections to the musicians are optimal for ensemble. 3. (3) Making the shapes of the reflectors suitable for providing both musicians and listeners with sufficient early reflections, especially lateral reflections to the listeners. 4. (4) The use of lightweight materials to facilitate mounting and demounting. Subjective evaluation and objective measurements have shown that the above considerations are relevant.
