Abstract

We consider the eigenvalue problem in Ω Where Ω is a bounded domain in Rd with smooth boundary,a nd q is a bounded, measurable function on Ω The eigenvalue problem has discrete spectrum; we denote by and a nondecreasing sequence of eigenvalue and corresponding (orthonormal) eigenfunctions. It is known ([N–S–U]) that knowledge of the eigenvalues and the boundary values of the normal derivatives of the corresponding eigenfunctions is sufficient to uniquely determine a coefficient, q.
