Abstract

The stability criteria of closed-loop networked predictive control systems with random communication delay are presented in this paper, based on a novel networked predictive control scheme. The scheme mainly consists of a control prediction generator and a network delay compensator. The control prediction generator provides a control prediction sequence that can achieve the required control performance. The network delay compensator compensates the network communication delay. The stability criteria of closed-loop networked predictive control systems are analytically derived for both the constant and random communication delay.
