Abstract

In the context of larger renewable energy harnessing, combining offshore wind farm (OWF) and marine current farm (MCF) at the same location is often found suitable in terms of geographical conditions as well as economic reasons. However stochastic nature of resource with increased penetration level requires thorough investigation of the system stability issues. In this article, a robust controller for the integrated system is carried out in presence of parametric uncertainty. In this contest effort is made linearizen on-linear plant dynamics with wide range variation of operating point and uncertainties associated. The efficacy of the proposed control scheme is carried out through different case studies in real time digital simulation (RTDS) environment. The comparative analysis of simulation results demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in context of integrated system stability and reliability.
