Abstract

The effect of temperature on the performance of a dielectric resonator compensated W-band impatt diode microstrip oscillator is shown to be quite small. The frequency change was about 2 MHz/°C as compared to the uncompensated oscillator's 10 MHz/°C. The design of the oscillator is presented and the resonator used was a cuboid of temperature compensated barium nonatitanate.
