Abstract

The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Student Chapter was inaugurated in November 2019. Together with the UTD, the SSCS Student Chapter presented an introduction to its capabilities and goals during a general meeting on 29 January 2020 at Hoblitzelle Hall in Richardson, Texas. During this meeting, Behnam Pouya, UTD SSCS Student Chapter chair, presented an overview of solid-state circuit applications in everyday life to more than 150 attendees. He also gave the audience an easy-to-understand overview of what the SSCS is as well as its responsibilities and services.
