Abstract
The arrival of the self-media era has provided a platform for the public to exchange information, so the traditional one-way discourse pattern of social public opinion has been broken. As the main force of the network group, college students exchange their own experiences and views at any time and anywhere in the virtual network. At the same time, however, network rumors have also emerged. The fast, anonymous, interactive and arbitrary characteristics of the network are the main reasons for the spread of rumors. Society, schools and college students themselves should monitor network rumors in a three-pronged manner to create a clean, healthy, and positive Internet shared home.
