Abstract
Below the THz spectrum, the textured surfaces on a subwavelength scale generate surface bound modes and henceforth are called spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) modes similar to surface plasmon polariton modes in the visible spectrum. Specifically, when SSPP architectures are combined with electro-optical and nonlinear materials, dynamic SSPP devices could be feasible.
