Abstract

There are several published reports on spontaneous closure of idiopathic macular hole but informa on regarding spontaneous closure of trauma c macular hole is limited. We present a case of spontaneous resolu on of post trauma c macular hole in a 9 year old child with associated visual recovery. The child was followed up for seven months and the morphological changes were documented on op cal coherence tomography. The case study illustrates the role of conserva ve management of trauma c macular hole in selected young pa ents, thus preven ng the need for surgical interven on and its possible diffi cul es and complica ons.
