Abstract
Spin-lattice relaxation times of mixtures of n-hexane and n-hexadecane were measured at 25°C. A double-exponential expression with the preexponentials equal to the proton fractions accurately described the normalized decay of magnetization. Two methods were used to interpret the mixtures' spin relaxation behavior and to calculate a single-valued effective relaxation time for a mixture. The behavior of these relaxation times and the viscocity are shown to be closely related
