Abstract

Refractory Anginal Pectoris is a condition defined as persistent anginal pain despite best medical treatment. It is a consequence of coronary artery disease which has been treated by revascularization and pharmacological means. Spinal cord simulation is an established and evidence supported treatment for this condition with significant patient benefits. In this review we present the data available for use of the technique as a palliative tool for refractory angina treatment.
