Abstract
Two patients with spinal cord arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) had coexisting spinal aneurysms on their main feeding arteries. The angiographic disappearance of these coexisting aneurysms after artificial embolization of the spinal cord AVMs suggests that hemodynamic stress is the important factor in the development of spinal aneurysms. The incidence of hemorrhage increases when spinal cord AVM is associated with spinal aneurysm. (Neurosurgery 13:577-580, 1983)
