Abstract

The kinetics of the paramagnetic spin system — for any S - is considered. This system interacts with a time-dependent magnetic field and with the phonons — via a direct interaction — which form the thermostat. The starting equation of motion for the statistical operator originates from the Zubarev non-equilibrium statistical operator method. The possible variant of the linear response approximation for the transverse alternating magnetic field, which allows to get the Bloch equations for the magnetization vector, is analyzed. This approach allows to find the dependence of the relaxation times upon the temperature and upon the external longitudinal component of the magnetic field. The interaction between the spins and the “bottleneck” effect are omitted.
