Abstract
A relativistic approach is employed to compute the differential and total cross sections, spin polarization P and the spin-polarization parameters T and U for the scattering of electrons from the silane molecule in the energy range 1–400 eV. The calculated spin-polarization parameters are compared with those for iso-electronic argon and atomic silicon. The calculated angular distribution shows a reasonably good agreement with the measured values.
