Abstract

An off-centre hydrogenic D0 centre situated in a 2D Gaussian quantum dot is studied taking into accounts the effects of Rashba Dresselhaus spin-orbit interactions and an external magnetic field. The ground state binding energy of the D0 complex is calculated using a variational method with an improved wave function. The magnetic susceptibility of the system is also calculated. The results show interesting behaviour with respect to different quantum dot parameters and spin-orbit couplings.
