Abstract
Using Glauber multiple-scattering theory, the spin and D-state effects on elastic π3He scattering at 0.826 and 2.01 GeV/c small momentum transfer are investigated. Spin effects are shown to be important at the lower energy and the effect of the D-wave component in the ground-state wave function is found to be small, contrary to the deuteron results, where this is conjectured to be the cause of the filling of the dip in the differential cross section.
