Abstract
In this paper, the speed fluctuations of the drive system are presented and are expressed in Fourier series form. From the electromechanical coupled dynamic equations, the transfer function of the speed control for the drive system is derived. In order to remove the speed fluctuation and improve the response of the speed control system, a speed feedback control model is presented and a compensated input voltage is used. The effects of the mechanical and electrical parameters on the speed feedback control system of the drive system are investigated and the optimum parameters for the feedback control system are selected. The results show that a rapid response of the speed feedback control system is achieved and the speed fluctuation of the rotor is eliminated.
