Abstract

We present the results of the investigation of optical second-harmonic generation from ZnTe/Zn1−xMnxTe quantum well structures with diluted magnetic (semimagnetic) barriers. Spectroscopic and polarization dependencies of second-harmonic generation have been studied. The measured spectra of second-harmonic excitation reveal rich resonant structure. Possible nature of the second order nonlinearity in these quantum well structures is discussed.
